Happy Feast Day

I couldn’t be more proud to be your pastor, or grateful to God for sending me here. I love our parish very much and have been happy to spend these years of my life with you and your families.

Your goodness to guests who visit for baptism, and the priests who cover in the summer; your commitment and creativity in ministry; your cooperation with one another; your enthusiasm for hospitality; your kindness to children and their families; your gentleness with the poor and mentally ill who seek refuge and comfort here; your devotion to Our Lady and fidelity to the Holy Mass; all of it. It’s been humbling for me.

A particular prayer of mine is that those of you who’ve been parishioners for a long time are pleased that the parish is open to trying new ways of reaching the next generations. I hope you are at peace with any changes that have taken place here during my time as pastor, trusting they have been sincere attempts to meet our quickly changing world with the love of Christ the King, who is both ever-ancient and ever-new. +
